When dreams have more excitement than reality...

...we write them down.

So... we met in circumstances I don't quite remember. I think we must have gotten off the wrong foot as I wasn't very happy spotting you in the crowd while I was shopping. I headed for the escalator, hoping for a quick exit. You saw me and tried to cut me off, which led to a chase in which I swung a shopping basket at you. You said people were usually better at aiming those at you. Somehow you talked me into staying and chatting. It was raining outside. I went looking for some old magazines so we wouldn't sit on the damp staircase. I felt bad that one was thicker than the other, so I kept on looking. In the end I left with just one, feeling worse and running terribly late. I didn't think you'd still be there, waiting, but you were. More than that, you had a whole thing going while waiting for me. You greeted me singing karaoke style. There were people backing you up. I wish I remembered the song. Something tells me "Can't take my eyes off you" - but it could very well be just wishful thinking. I know I smiled and we talked.

Shhh...

“Today, my love, I am too tired to write to you. You'll find a letter in your heart, several pages long, full of silence. Read it slowly. The light of this day wrote it for me. It is just about you and what comes to me each time I think of you, far away, hundred kilometers apart.”

I second that...

"It isn't the ups and downs that make life difficult; it's the jerks."
